Full-time juniors and seniors enrolled in the UCF College of Engineering and Computer Science and enrolled in the Institute are eligible to apply for a $1,500 scholarship. Up to 25 students will be awarded a scholarship that covers tuition, books and/or student fees. Click here to read more!
Scholarship Opportunities

The Institute Program is a nine month program that runs from August through April of each year and consists of two, four-hour sessions each month. Each month focuses on a different aspect of leadership.

August: "What do I have to work with?"

 

Self-assessment (DiSC, Meyers Briggs, Posner/Kouzes, Dimensions of Leadership Profile)
High Ropes Course (Self-assessment, teamwork)

 

 

September: "What are my strengths and weaknesses?"

 

Ethics, Values, Communication (verbal, non-verbal, symbolic [written]), and Presentations

 

Negotiations (leadership assessment, exercise, budget meeting)

 

 

The Progress Energy Leadership Institute is a UCF College of Engineering and Computer Science initiative that was created to prepare engineers and computer scientists for leadership roles in the business sector.
