Before the Institute was launched, thirty Metro-Orlando executives representing business, government, and non-profit organizations, reviewed the proposed program and offered improvements.
It was decided that an Executive Advisory Board would be established to ensure the Institute Program is on the cutting edge in terms of meeting the workforce and leadership needs of industry. Membership will include representatives from Progress Energy, faculty, and the business community. The Advisory Board will make recommendations to the College of Engineering and Computer Science for improvements and enhancements as well as work with faculty to create an institute of national distinction.
"Thank you" to the following companies and organizations for your valuable input into the Institute:

"The focus of the course seems very useful since it exposes us to real life conditions and it consists of active participation. The excitement and motivation behind this "new" project was quite contagious. I am looking forward to learning from each of my peers. I think we all have great potential that can be shared with one another."
