Mentors play a significant role in the Institute experience. They serve as an advocate and a professional resource for the student. Mentors and students communicate at least twice each month on topics covered in Institute sessions and comparable issues as it relates to the business world.
Students are encouraged to prepare questions in advance of communicating with their mentor. They also keep a brief journal of discussions. Mentors are recognized at the Progress Energy Leadership Conference in April. The Progress Energy Leadership Institute is honored and proud to call the following professionals Institute mentors.
